Just When You Think The Perfect Cinnamon Rolls Don't Exist..

Just when you think the perfect cinnamon rolls don't exist, it is where my fluffiest and chocolate-dripping cinnamon rolls enter the picture.

My cinnamon rolls are waayy different from others. When the first time I made cinnamon rolls, I had a half-empty jar of Nutella so I thought why not??? That's right! I scooped spoonfuls and spread it on the dough. I still had a lil more left. An idea struck my mind. I glazed my Cinnamon rolls with Nutella ganache.

Anywise, twas so much fun making them, in fact, I always enjoyed making them. So I thought I'd share with you this scrumptious Cinna rolls recipe. Lets head to the kitchen and grab:

Ingredients

For Dough

🍫All-purpose flour- 2 3/4 cups
🍫Sugar-1/4 cup
🍫Salt- 1/2 tsp
🍫Melted butter -50 gm
🍫Warm milk- 3/4 cup
🍫Large egg- 1
🍫Yeast- 1 sachet (7 gm)

For  Spread

🍫Softened Butter- 60 gm
🍫Nutella- the more the better
🍫Brown sugar- 2-3 tbsp
🍫Cinnamon Powder- 2 tbsp
🍫Corn starch- 1/2 tbsp
🍫Salt- 1/4 tsp

1.  In a large bowl, incorporate the egg, melted butter, and sugar and blend.

2. Separately, empty one sachet of yeast in warm milk. Whisk it until bubbles are formed and leave it for 5min to rest.

3. In another bowl, sift all-purpose flour and salt. Now combine all the ingredients and knead it to form a soft dough. The dough shouldn't stick to your hands as there is enough butter in it. Cover the bowl with a clean cling wrap and set for a couple of hours.

4. When the dough has raised, place it on a large kneading platform, dust it with some flour and knead the dough again.

5. Using a rolling pin flatten the dough and give it a shape of a large rectangle with at least 1/2cm thickness.

6. Now is the time for the spread. Spread the softened butter first, followed by spoonfuls of Nutella. Next, sprinkle some brown sugar evenly. In a strainer, add cinnamon powder, cornstarch, and salt and sift it evenly all over the dough.

7. Roll the dough carefully. Now I don't use a knife to cut the roll since it will press the dough and won't give you the required shape. I rather use a clean thread. Lift the end of your dough and slide the thread under the dough. When you have the thread where you'd like to make the cut, cross the two ends over the top of the dough and pull them in opposite direction.

8. Grease your casserole with oil/butter and place the cut-up rolls, leaving a gap of 1cm between each. Cover with a cloth and let it sit for 20-25 mins more.

9. Until then preheat your over at 180℃ for 20 mins. Place the casserole and bake for 20 mins or until you see the rolls have raised with a beautiful golden color on top.

10. Remove from the oven and pour melted Nutella on the top before serving. Thank me after the guests leave! 😉

My mum prefers the plain rolls minus cinnamon and chocolate but still calls it cinnamon rolls lol, so for her I skip the step where I add cinnamon and Nutella so this is how they look:
