Brownies out of all the confectionaries are my favorite of all. I mean who would say "NO" to brownies? Bet ya'll sneak into the kitchen and steal a few of them even before the guests arrive. Hey, who am I kidding? I honestly can't just wait for the oven to go off, fetch the perfectly hot and crisp chocolate brownies nearly burning my hands.
When I make my brownies I expect them to be perfect inside and out. The perfect brownies will be crispy on the top while a lil chewy and gooey in the center. Not to forget the yummy flavor of dark chocolate chips, each time you bite into them.
This time I've included a special ingredient. I'm using Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Bar instead of a regular chocolate bar. But you can always use any other brand or even Hersheys Baking Bar.
So put on your aprons and lets head to the kitchen.
Ingredients
4 ounces Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Bar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut int pieces
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp extra
1/4 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
1/2 cup Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Chips
1. Preheat the oven to 350℉. Butter and flour an 8-ich square baking pan.
2. Chop the semi-sweet chocolate baking bar into 1-inch pieces.
3. In the top of a double boiler or in a heatproof bowl over barely simmering water, melt the chopped chocolate and butter, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
4. Stir the brown sugar and vanilla into the chocolate mixture. Add the eggs and mix well.
5. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture mixing well until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
6. Bake for 25-30 mins, until a tester comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool for at least 10 mins before cutting into 2-inch squares.
Your perfect brownies are ready! Serve coffee with a side of your brownies or eat them just like that!
